7 tips to study for board exams from the very starting
Hello guys,
You all might have thought about how to study for the board exams and how to get good marks in the board exams but many students who have great potential are not able to give their 100% because they don’t know how to study for the board exams.
So, for this reason I have brought you a post today about how to study for the board exams and also about what to not study. This is going to give a real idea about the strategy for board exams and how to score good marks. This article includes information about class 10th board exams and class 12th board exams, conducted by the central board of secondary education cbse.
So, the best tips for exam preparation are on their way, let’s get rolling!!!
1. Discover your study environment:-
2. Plan a study schedule:-
For acquiring and memorizing most of the knowledge you should stick to a study schedule because the brain memorizes better if it is made to memorize at regular time intervals. If you are not able to form a good exam schedule, don’t worry , I will publish another post on study schedule or you can use the following app:- "My study life-School Planner".
3. Study in groups:-
You might think that group study is a waste of time but in reality, it helps you to strengthen your study topics, you can also help your friends by explaining them the topics they are troubling or you can also ask for help from your friends. Even Einstein said that:- “If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.”
4. Take short breaks:-
Studying for three hours with concentration while taking short breaks is better than studying continuously for six hours. Your brain is able to study more if you give a rest of fifteen minutes or ten minutes. This helps your brain to relax and you are able to study more.
5. Take advantage of mobile phones:-
Many parents say that mobiles just corrupt a child and prevent them from studying. But, this is not true. Mobiles can be really beneficial for the students who use them wisely.
You can download pdfs for studying offline from mobiles. You can even print them if seeing from mobile is uncomfortable. Good study material, pdfs and cbse sample papers are available on our site in the ‘Study material’ tab at the top. You can even take quizzes at our site to check your progress.
6. Give time to all subjects:-
Instead of giving all your time to a single subject that you like, you should give your time to all the subjects. But, the subject maths requires more time than the other subjects because it involves practicing numerical. But this does not mean that you give all your time on that subject only because the percentage is based on the overall performance in each subject. So, you have to strengthen each of your subjects.
7. Take rest:-
Perhaps, this might be the most important point and you should never take it lightly because only if you have good health then only you can study in a better way. A 6 or 7 hours sleep is necessary for a teenager for the brain to function properly. You should not over strain yourself, whenever you are sick, you should take proper rest.
Don’t do these while studying for board exams
While there are certain things that you should follow while studying for board exams there are also certain things that you should not do while studying for board exams. So, let’s check out what these things are.
1. Concentrating on a single subject:-
Many students like or do not like mathematics. So, they always solve mathematical problems and rarely give time for other subjects. But, this is not good because only one subject is not included in the overall percentage of a student. He must also be good at other subjects to get a good percentage.
2. Studying all the time:-
Some students start to study all the time for the board exams. But this has a serious impact on the health of the student. So, a student should not study all the time and he should play outdoor games with his friends in the open air to stay refreshed and active. I also used to play volleyball in my free time with my friends to stay refreshed.
3. Cramming the subjects:-
Many students have a habit of cramming the subjects instead of understanding them. Cramming does not help in the mental development of the student and sometimes you also mix the answer while writing the answers in the answer sheets. So, I request you all to focus on the class while your teacher is explaining to you to grasp the concept in a better way.
4. Avoiding reading the book:-
You should never ever avoid reading the books if you want to excel in the board exam because the exams makers set the exam from a concept in the book. So, an in-depth study of the book is needed, to properly attend the questions.
5. Doing other work in class:-
When the teacher is teaching the students are advised to do only one task, i.e, listen and focus on their teacher’s words. If you do any other task then you will be wasting a precious and important class that could have been a very important thing.
This year the class 10 board exam and cbse board exam 2020 were conducted from February 15 but they were not able to get completed due to the corona virus outbreak.
So these were all the tips that I wanted to share with you,the students of classes 10 and 12 if you find them useful, please follow them and also comment below if you want more posts like this.
